How this is calculated

  • Pieces are nested across the usable fabric width to find how many fit per row.
  • Rows are multiplied by the piece length and converted to yards.
  • Yardage rounds up to the nearest ⅛ yard so you never come up short.
  • Add extra for seam allowances, shrinkage, directional prints and pattern repeats.
